Scholastic Art and Writing Awards
Evelyn Hoffert, Paper Weight, National American Visions Medal 2024
The Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art is thrilled to host the nationally-renowned 102nd annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for the Polk County, Florida Art Region. Presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the Scholastic Awards initiative invites students grades 7-12 (ages 13 and up) to submit their original works produced across all media to have a chance to have their work recognized in the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious scholarship and recognition program.
Last year, we had the honor of congratulating Evelyn Hoffert from Harrison School for the Arts on placing as a National American Visions Medalist for her piece, Paper Weight.
The Polk County Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are made possible by the generosity of Joy and Michael Martin.
