Learning to Be Me
Artwork by Polk County Students Grades K through 2
The public is invited to celebrate and recognize the talents of our Polk County Public Schools' elementary school students with us virtually! Learning to Be Me features the work of elementary students grades K through 2. As an acknowledgment of the critical role art education plays in the development of young learners, we honor the students for their hard work and achievement while also honoring their art teachers for their commitment to the youth of our county.
Four students will be recognized as Purchase Award recipients, with their entries becoming a part of either the Polk Museum of Art's collection of student artwork or the School Board of Polk County's collection.
This exhibition is on view in person in our George Jenkins Student Gallery from October 21 to November 12, 2023.
